For this contest, we're looking for creative suggestions as to where to meet gay guys.

Let's leave out the obvious: I think we all know you can meet gay guys in a gay bar, or on a gay personals site. But where else can we go to increase our chances of meeting a lovely lad?

Here's a few starters:

COMMUNITY THEATRE. I suppose it's no surprise that gay guys like to dress up and role play. So join the local community theatre, or at least show up at their fund raiser, and pretty soon you'll be acting out.

LEARNING ANNEX OR SELF-IMPROVEMENT SEMINARS. Why are gay guys always trying to improve themselves? Who knows, but sign up for anything psychic, musically related, or involving fashion.

YOGA. Deep stretching in a non-threatening environment. Loose clothing. Sweaty bodies. Throw your mat down next to the cutie with long hair and unwind with a chai tea after the workout.

You get the idea. Where, in your GuyTrap experience, are the best places to go to get friendly with hot, available guys?

Actually, every where. Grosso modo, it is difficult sometimes to get the right blip on your gaydar since there are these "metrosexuals" who impersonate us from their shoes up to their earrings. I was queud at a Wendy's restaurant with my wingman (also on this board), and behind us came a 20-year old kid who had tied purple bandanas around his arms and had ripped jeans. I guess you have to dress really outrageously now to be recognised. I advised wearing all white with a purple bandana around your neck. Or, if you're old (over 25), I suggest a herringbone blazer with a nice Hermès scarf. When I was younger (24) and working on my body, I would walk up and down 8th Avenue with only a skimpy swimsuit and summer sandals on. If I did that here in Carlsbad, New Mexico, I think I would be "spotted." It used to be more fun to size up a number, but in our times where all our gay brothers want to be out to everyone, it's not like it used to be; that's to say, a "secret society." I first had this experience when another wingman took me to Dallas -- it was the cruisiest place I'd ever seen, (I was astonished when a country boy in a pee-kup chased me down in my car; it was my first sexual experience besides sexual encounters with several cousins.). De nos jours, Dallas now is a boring place, very, very boring.

Join a choir or musical. Artsy guys tend to be at the very least gay supporters and many are gay. I avoid stereotypes but this has been true for many of my experiences.

At the first point, u need to think of wat sort of guy u wanna hook up with.

Most of gay guys are passionate about their dress, physique and are creative.

so.. if u r really looking for a stud.. get dem in the fitness centres.... or u r the men whose emotionally strong and creative.... get to that theatre where recently drama fest held...

or sports club are the best place to hang on with the gay men u like....

Shop at the trendy stores and you will no doubt be surrounded by gay guys.

Hit Ambercrombie and Fitch, Banana Republic, Hermes etc.

Other options have already been mentioned which include theaters. I work in a box office at a local theater and it's true gay guys and their supporters are all over the place.
